ASHLI DOWLING AS CLARA LAROUX ARATA
ASHLI DOWLING was born and raised in Groton, Massachusetts. At the age of three her grandmother placed her in a ballet class to help overcome her shyness. She became serious about ballet at eleven-years-old and attended several ballet programs across the country including Boston Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, Miami City Ballet School, and The School of American Ballet in New York City.
After graduating high school, Ashli was accepted to study ballet at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where she was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. During her freshman year, Ashli enrolled in her first acting class and fell in love with it. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ballet, Ashli retired from ballet and headed to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor.
Ashli has trained with Art Cohan and Allen Barton of The Beverly Hills Playhouse and has been involved with numerous stage and screen productions. Some of her credits include NBC’s The Event, We Are Angels, and the feature films Celeste and Jesse Forever, Good Grief, The Poor Boys, and The Longer Day of Happiness to name a few.
NIKKI HAHN as GRETA KIKU ARATA
NIKKI HAHN was born in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Nikki's career began at the age of 3 when she moved to California with her parents in 2006. That same year she began modeling in print campaigns for companies like Disney, GAP and American Girl. By age 4 she branched out into commercials and seemed to gravitate more towards working as an actor in front of the camera.
In 2009 Nikki began landing roles in numerous network television shows including, CSI-Miami, NCIS-LA, The Closer, Criminal Minds as well as some of her favorite Disney and Nickelodeon shows, iCarly and Jessie. She has also landed over 23 national commercials including her favorite, a State Farm spot with Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers.In 2011 Nikki brought big laughs into everyone's living rooms when she starred as the daughter of Tom Hanks in a spoof skit of TLC's "Toddlers & Tiaras" on the Jimmy Kimmel Live post-Academy Awards special. Nikki played the role of "Sophie Hanks," a child pageant queen with an overbearing stage Dad (Hanks). Immediately after the show's original airing, the segment went viral, giving the young actress a cult-like following. The skit also aired during the Oprah Winfrey Show in an interview with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts.In 2012 Nikki displayed her ability in another genre when she was cast on her first "villian" role as sociopath child killer "Jenny Reynolds" for American Horror Story - Asylum in the episode "Origins of Monstrosity".
In 2013 she worked on many popular prime time shows including: Pretty Little Liars, Hart of Dixie, The Fosters and The Night Shift.
In 2014 Nikki has been awarded "Best Lead Actress" by The Molise Cinema Independent Film Festival in Italy for her role as "Mia" in The Hero Pose. She was also awarded "Best Accomplishment for a Young Actor" by The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival in Illinois and Nominated "Best Lead Actress" by The Madrid International Film Festival in Spain for the same role.
Nikki has been fortunate to work alongside and learn from many Hollywood professionals including: Jim Belushi, Kyra Sedgewick, Elijah Wood, Henry Winkler, cinematographer Janusz Kaminski and Two-Time Academy Awards Winners Tom Hanks and Jessica Lange.
KENZO LEE AS SAM ARATA
KENZO LEE was born and raised in Oakland, California. He studied at the UC San Diego and at the British American Drama Academy. He has been seen in television shows such as Extant, Gang Related, How I Met Your Mother, and Happy Endings. He has appeared in several independent features including A Leading Man, Baby, and the upcoming horror film Spring (TIFF 2014). He has been in over 20 national commercials and performed in the well recognized CBS Diversity Showcase. He is one of the original members of the long running comedy show All About Walken: The Impersonators of Christopher Walken.
